Liza Matiach, M.S., LPM, LADC, EMDRIA-certified

Originally from Russia, Liza Matiach received her Master Degree in Psychology from St. Petersburg State University in 1989. She has lived and worked in the United States since 1992 and is a Licensed Psychologist Master, and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.

Liza has extensive training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, PTSD, and addiction. She works with adults, pre-adolescents, adolescents, couples, and families, and also provides group therapy. Her areas of expertise include anxiety and depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress, life transitions, and cross-cultural counseling as well as alcohol and drug addiction counseling, screening, assessment, and treatment. She utilizes a variety of treatment approaches in her work, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, Clinical hypnosis (Milton Erickson approach) in helping people to process trauma, manage pain, insomnia, smoking cessation and withdrawal from substances in early stages of the recovery process. Liza uses client-centered, and outcome-based treatment approaches in her work.
