Samantha B. Barr, Psy.D. is a Licensed Psychologist-Doctorate. After receiving her undergraduate degree in General Psychology from the University of Michigan, she went on to complete a Masters Degree and a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University. In addition, she actively participates in regular continuing education experiences and has gained additional certifications in the field of psychology and mental health. Her approach to psychotherapy is based on a combination of psychodynamic theories, insight-oriented work, family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices.
Samantha has extensive experience working in the mental health field and has focused her work on outpatient and private practice settings. Currently, she provides individual therapy for adult clients, ages 18 and older. She works with clients on a wide range of mental health issues and behavioral concerns. Some of her areas of interest and expertise include anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief and loss, relationship issues, assertiveness, life transitions, and parenting concerns.
